AbsorbAid And Food Allergies: Can AbsorbAid natural digestive enzymes really help people deal better with food allergies? My personal experience leads me to say yes! Since I began using AbsorbAid regularly I am now able to enjoy many foods I once had to avoid.
Food allergy is a very broad term that most use when referring to not only true food allergies, but also to food sensitivities, and food intolerances. While clinical allergy testing can do a very good job in confirming true allergy, it can be woefully inadequate in diagnosing sensitivities and intolerances. Unfortunately, a food sensitivity or intolerance can trigger reactions just as severe or even worse than some true food allergies.
As an example, I am not clinically allergic to wheat according to the results from three different rounds of RAST allergy tests performed over several years. Yet even a small amount of wheat triggers a severe asthmatic type response in me within 30-minutes of

consuming any product containing wheat or wheat related grains such as spelt or kamut. Many in the medical field would classify this as a severe sensitivity since the traditional allergy tests were negative.
On the other hand I tested positive for a serious allergy to chicken, yet can eat it without problem as long as I wait a few days (4 or 5) before consuming it again. With wheat I could go a year or more before consuming it again and it would still trigger a serious reaction upon exposure, though again with me wheat is not technically an allergy.
The bottom line is there is a lot of controversy in the medical world about what is and what is not a true allergy. The good news is that for the purpose of our discussion here, it really does not matter. Whether allergy, sensitivity, or intolerance... digestion plays a huge role in how our immune system "sees" and then reacts to the foods we consume. With AbsorbAid I have been able to greatly improve how my body breaks down and digests the foods I eat. I could list over two-dozen foods that I once had to completely avoid. Now by taking two AbsorbAid capsules with each meal, I can safely eat the majority of these foods with no problem.
Many people find that once they develop a food allergy, sensitivity, or intolerance... they will soon acquire more. If our body properly breaks down the foods we consume, then the possibility of developing an allergy, sensitivity, or intolerance is greatly reduced. When our digestive system is not performing correctly, problems such as "leaky gut syndrome" can occur, which then can lead to the development of a whole host of digestive and immune system issues.
Leaky gut syndrome happens when intestinal inflammation causes the spaces between cells in the intestinal lining to become wider... allowing endotoxins and partially digested food particles to be absorbed into the bloodstream after eating. The body's natural defenses may sense these particles as foreign or dangerous invaders and produce antibodies in response. This can produce an allergic reaction. Thus if you are experiencing digestive problems, you are at higher risk of developing food allergies, sensitivities, or intolerances.
Many things can cause our digestive system to not work correctly. Use of antibiotics can upset the natural balance of the flora in our intestines. Consumption of alcohol, prescription drugs, and even supposedly safe over-the-counter medications can cause temporary or even permanent damage to the stomach lining or the colon. Overeating, stress, or just having a poor diet also can be contributing factors.
Are you one of the millions of Americans who take antacids or acid blocking medications? Over time the more you take these products the more you may need as your body builds up a resistance. These drugs reduce the stomach's natural production of digestive acids and enzymes, and thus make it difficult for the digestive system to break down food completely.
A few years ago I developed a pinched nerve in my shoulder. The pain was unbearable and I began taking Aleve (naproxen sodium) to reduce the inflammation. Though I only took the Aleve with meals in order to avoid stomach upset, within three days my stomach and colon were absolutely shredded. The stomach pain and inflammation was much worse than the pinched nerve. I was forced to use Prevacid (acid reducer) for 6 weeks to calm my stomach down and allow it to heal up. During this time I noticed my food allergies & sensitivities became much worse. I found a good chiropractor who corrected the pinched nerve, and I swore I would never use Aleve again.
There is also a phenomenon known as "allergic load". Let's say you have a mild allergy or sensitivity to apples, peaches, pears, and plums. You can eat one of these foods alone and not really notice any significant issues. On Monday you eat an apple... no problem. However on Tuesday you eat a peach and notice a mild reaction. Wednesday you consume a pear and have a slightly worse reaction. Then on Thursday you eat a plum and have a bad reaction.
Why would this happen? Whenever you consume a food you are allergic or sensitive to, your body produces various immune response substances and your immune system may remain in a heightened state for 3 or 4 days, so if you consume another "bad" food within that time frame the reaction you experience may be worse than normal. Exposure to multiple "bad" foods during a short period of time like in our example above can set off a chain reaction that cascades out of control.
When I first began taking AbsorbAid natural digestive enzymes, I completely avoided all foods that I had even the slightest reaction to for the first several weeks. My digestive and immune systems were a wreck and I wanted to take my time and do it right. My thoughts were to get my systems working correctly and insure that I didn't develop any more allergies/sensitivities. You might not need to be this careful if you only have a few foods that cause problems. After this time passed I started slowly adding back in one food at a time, starting with mild intolerances first. There were several types of peas, beans, and legumes that caused my stomach to swell and my colon to cramp. I could feel the inflammation after eating any of these. I took my regular two AbsorbAid capsules and ate a full can of black beans... no problems.
I decided to wait four days to allow my system to reset and I then tried English peas. Once again I had no problem. I continued this same regimen until I was able to eat any type of pea, bean or legume with no problem. To this day as long as I'm regularly taking AbsorbAid I will experience no issues with any of these.
At this point I became a little bolder and decided to try a food I was truly allergic to. Potatoes, tomatoes, and eggplant are all members of the nightshade family and they all tested positive in my RAST testing. Within minutes of consuming one of these my face would turn slightly red and puff up, and it would feel like hot grease going through my veins. My heart would also race. This was going to be a big test. I ate a plain baked potato and waited. I still had a very, very mild reaction, but it was only a fraction of what I typically experienced. Over time this allergy has completely faded from my life and I now eat potatoes on a regular basis.
I still have a couple of very severe true allergic foods, corn and milk, that I have to completely avoid in my diet... though the reaction to these is a lot less than it used to be. All of my other allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances have either completely cleared or the reactions are so minor I don't really notice anymore.
AbsorbAid has made a huge difference in my life... in addition to being able to eat a fairly normal diet again, I just plain feel better. My body more completely breaks down the foods I consume, and I am able to absorb more of the nutrients they contain. I've also noticed that since I've been using AbsorbAid I don't eat as much as I used to. Plus heartburn, sour stomach, gas, and incomplete digestion are now a thing of the past. I have two regular bowels movements per day and my stools are long and full... no straining, and the internal hemorrhoid I used to have has been healed for years.
AbsorbAid is not a cure all, but in my case and that of several family members AbsorbAid has been miraculous. I have used AbsorbAid daily with every meal for over ten years. If I think I'll be eating out away from home, I'll slip a couple of capsules into my pocket or my wife's purse. It may sound like overkill, but when you've suffered as severely from food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances as I have... you never want to allow yourself to get in that condition again. I think of all of the money I spent on doctor visits, testing, and medications to deal with my allergies and digestive problems, and compare it to how little I spend on AbsorbAid... less than $20 for a month's supply. Quite a bargain!

AbsorbAid is the only digestive enzyme formula on the market that has been clinically tested
and scientifically proven by two prestigious laboratories... Roche and Mayo Clinic.

Both confirmed that AbsorbAid will help
your body absorb up to 71% more vital
nutrients from your food than eating
the same foods without AbsorbAid.

"For me, I discovered by accident that AbsorbAid helps with food allergies. I had stomach problems for years... lot's of bloating, belching, and cramping after I would eat. Of course I wasn't very nutrition conscious and ate a lot of fast food and junk. A friend told me about AbsorbAid, but I didn't get any. Finally she gave me a bottle for my birthday because she had seen me suffer from the digestive issues for so long, and she believed so strongly in AbsorbAid. With 2 or 3 days I noticed a huge improvement in my indigestion so I kept taking them. Over several weeks my digestive problems completely went away and I also noticed that the handful of foods I was allergic to were not causing reactions anymore when I ate them. Amazing! I've been using AbsorbAid now for about 4 years." Katherine P. - Oakland, CA
"No food allergies for me, but I was diagnosed with Celiac disease many years ago and have had to avoid wheat, spelt, barley, and rye, along with related grains in my diet. It is almost impossible to completely avoid this stuff, especially if you eat out or eat processed foods, so I would regularly have some symptoms. My aunt recommended AbsorbAid and I tried it. While there is no cure for Celiac disease I can honestly say this stuff has helped tremendously. While I still can't eat large quantities of these grains, the AbsorbAid has kept me from having problems from eating small amounts of the grains that before would have caused significant gastric distress. It's made a huge difference for me".
Barbara F. - Philadelphia, PA

"I'm in my 50's and my problems would likely be classified as food intolerances or sensitivities. Some foods just make me feel bad with symptoms like nasal drainage, bronchial irritation, fluid in my ears, etc. A guy I work with was taking AbsorbAid for stomach problems and he gave a few to try as I sometimes get gas when I've had dairy - probably lactose intolerant. Anyway I had some ice cream and took a couple of capsules and no gas. So I bought some AbsorbAid and took them with every meal since milk is in just about everything. After a few weeks I noticed my ears, sinuses, and lungs had remained clear during that time. A few months later I got busy at work and forgot to order more. Within days all the symptoms came back including the gas. I swore right then I would never ever run out of AbsorbAid again". Carlton T. - Portland, OR
